ICT Technology Park, University of Innsbruck

The ICT Technology Park of the University of Innsbruck is situated on the campus of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture of Leopold-Franzens-University Innsbruck, as part of the ‘Tyrolean informatics offensive’. A modern, flexible office building for IT companies, technology-orientated businesses, application-related research organisations and transfer institutions. The building was due to be opened in December 2004 and offers 10.000 m² in usable floor space.

The tenancy structure and flexibility of the building make the ICT Technology Park an ideal location for new businesses and start-ups in the field of information and communication technologies.

Tenants, besides CAST, are the Institute of Computer Science, the transIT Development and Transfer Center, the projekt.service.buero (all part of Leopold-Franzens-University Innsbruck) and the Institute of Quantum Optics and Quantum Information of the Austrian Academy of Sciences. For entrepreneurs and young business people involved in information and communication technologies, this makes it much easier to network with and use the Tyrol’s academic IT resources.

The ICT Technology Park has more to offer: service facilities for office users, spacious communication rooms, atrium space with natural light exposure and a cafeteria containing approximately 80 seats. The laboratories are located in the basement. There is also a public underground car park.
